WA Department of Housing and Works invites suitably experienced artists or teams for a Percent for Art commission at Eastern Hills Senior High School. The work is an external functional artwork incorporating informal seating and a shade structure. Commission budget is A$92,500 + GST, with A$1,500 + GST for each of three shortlisted artists/teams to develop a concept proposal.

The Shire of Carnarvon is seeking an artist for a large-scale public artwork that creates a memorable entry statement while supporting road-safety awareness. The project is funded by the Road Safety Commission WA. EOIs close 4pm on 28 September 2026; the live call does not state the artist commission amount.

HOME and Network Rail are commissioning a Manchester-based lead artist to co-create and deliver a mural for Oxford Road Station. The lead artist fee is GBP 4,850, with up to GBP 100 for engagement materials and up to GBP 1,000 for mural materials. A separate support artist role is budgeted at GBP 2,600. Applications close 28 September 2026.

Goolugatup Heathcote is offering a A$15,000 commission to an Australian artist to produce a new digital artwork for exhibition. Eligible practices include animation, moving image, immersive or interactive work, expanded cinema, generative AI, VR/AR, digital collage, CGI and 3D printing.

Advance Housing is commissioning an original canvas artwork, with a copyright licence for print and digital use, from an Aboriginal artist who is a current tenant or householder in an Advance Housing managed property. A fee of $3,000–$5,000 will be negotiated with the successful artist, based on the Aboriginal Art Centre Hub Western Australia pricing matrix, experience and canvas size. EOIs close 30 September 2026, outcome notified by 9 October 2026, artwork completed by 30 November 2026.

Maribyrnong City Council is seeking an experienced contemporary artist for a future-focused, immersive light-based gateway sculpture at the new Creative West cultural precinct in Footscray. EOIs close 5pm on 30 September 2026. The public page directs artists to request the Artist Brief for full commission details.

This grant, run by the Mondriaan Fund with five other Dutch national cultural funds, supports individual makers whose practice combines two or more cultural disciplines that fall outside a single fund. It is a fixed EUR 24,900 for twelve months. The 2026 deadline is 1 October before 16:00 Dutch time / 11:00 Caribbean time.

Fremantle Biennale is calling for expressions of interest from artists and architects to create a series of sky-led observatories across five sites in Western Australia's Wheatbelt region. The observatories combine permanent and temporary works forming a dark sky trail activated with community programs. EOIs opened 4 September 2026 and close 2 October 2026. STRP is selecting three young creatives from any discipline to co-create an experimental audiovisual performance and installation with artist and designer Deborah Mora. Practices can include visual art, film, photography, scenography, AV/light design, performance, fashion/textiles, digital media/software, sound and hybrid work. Each participant receives a EUR 550 project fee. Applications close 4 October 2026 at 23:59 CEST.

Torridge District Council seeks a lead artist for a bold, site-specific public artwork in Westward Ho! shaped with the local community. The selected artist receives a £15,000 design fee plus £5,000 community-engagement fee, with £30,000 for fabrication and installation. Three shortlisted artists receive £500 each to develop outline concepts.

The City of South Perth is seeking artists and creative groups to exhibit across the ten illuminated Box Gallery exhibition boxes at Manning Community Centre. Successful exhibitors receive A$3,500 ex GST. EOIs close 4pm on 5 October 2026.

Maitland City Council is commissioning public art for the Maitland Railway Station precinct, including an illuminated ceiling "light tunnel", as part of the Next Stop: Maitland revitalisation. The expression of interest closes Monday 5 October 2026, 5pm, as stated on the official project page. Budget is set out in the official project brief.

WorkSafe Victoria is commissioning an artwork for its Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan, to feature across print, digital and workplace communications. Total commission value is $16,000 (+ GST where applicable): up to $6,000 for the artwork commission and $10,000 for the artwork licence. EOIs opened 1 September 2026 and close 11:59pm AEST, Tuesday 6 October 2026; successful artist notified 20 October 2026, commission runs 9 November to 14 December 2026.

Request for Qualifications for a large-scale visual artwork for the new East Wing of the Huntington Theatre campus on Boston's Avenue of the Arts. The US$25,000 commission covers artist fee and fabrication; installation is covered by The Huntington and Flyleaf Creative. The wall space could be as large as 6ft by 14.5ft. Installation is planned for August/September 2027. Qualifications are due 7 October 2026. This is a Request for Qualifications, not a request for designs or proposals — concept drawings should not be submitted at this stage.

Victoria Daly Regional Council is seeking artists or muralists to design and create five murals across Pine Creek. Artists may quote for an individual mural, multiple murals or all five. EOIs and itemised quotations are due 7 October 2026.

Georges River Council is inviting artists and artist teams to propose temporary artworks or performances for the 2027 Uncontained Arts Festival. The official call is open now and closes at midnight on 11 October 2026. Project budgets are proposed by applicants in the EOI rather than listed as a fixed commission on the public page.

The Aesthetica Art Prize offers a GBP 10,000 Main Prize and a GBP 1,000 Emerging Prize across all media, with winners and shortlisted artists exhibited at a UK public gallery and featured in Aesthetica Magazine. Entry costs GBP 25 until 11 October 2026, and GBP 35 for late entries to 18 October 2026. Results are announced in spring 2027.

Up to seven artists or collectives will each receive CAD 9,000 to create one original design for a Calgary public-transit bus wrap, with interior displays reproducing existing work. The RFQ is qualifications-based; selected artists create the new artwork after selection.

The City of West Hollywood is accepting qualifications for its Moving Image Media Art prequalified list. MIMA places moving-image artworks on digital billboards along Sunset Boulevard. Approved artists may be considered for future exhibitions; selection to the list does not guarantee a commission. Artist licensing fees are negotiated based on experience, production needs and licensing history. The current review deadline is 15 October 2026 at 5pm PT.

Denver Public Art seeks an artist or team to create a site-responsive public artwork for La Raza Park that reflects the identity, history and culture of Northside Denver. The commission amount is US$136,000. An optional virtual pre-application meeting was held on 30 September 2026.

The City of Mountain View seeks one or more artists or teams to design, fabricate and install permanent public art at one to three locations at its new Public Safety Building. The building houses police and fire administration and emergency operations.

The City of Orlando invites artists and teams to submit preliminary conceptual proposals for a permanent, large-scale contemporary sculpture at a new community park in Lake Nona. The work is intended as a visual landmark for the park.

Six-month artist residency from January to June 2027 hosted by the JRC Digital Health Unit with the EU Policy Lab and the Centre for Advanced Studies, working on mental health and depression. Mainly remote with at least 20 non-consecutive days in Ispra, Italy. Budget of EUR 15,000 in total, covering fees, allowance, accommodation and travel. Working language English. Deadline 18 October 2026.

The City of Greater Geraldton invites expressions of interest from Mid West artists to create a public artwork on the Mullewa Recreation Ground ablution block. The commission fee is $5,000, paid in three stages as set out in the Artist Brief. The project includes a local workshop with school students. EOIs close COB 19 October 2026.

Matched funding program for individual artists, collectives and organisations fundraising through an Australian Cultural Fund campaign. Funds raised receive a matched boost of up to A$5,000. Applications opened 21 September 2026 and close Monday 19 October 2026 at 12pm AEDT. Notification 14 December 2026.

Louisville Downtown Partnership seeks an artist or artist-led design team to create a functional public art installation for an under-used downtown green space. The project budget is USD 70,000–75,000. Shortlisted finalists develop full proposals, with USD 1,000 stipends for finalists other than the selected artist/team.

VACMA is a small grants scheme supporting the creative and professional development of visual artists and craft makers, delivered locally by around 24 partner organisations across Scotland. The 2026/27 cycle has an autumn deadline of 20 October 2026 and a winter deadline of 2 February 2027; not every partner offers both.

The Simons Foundation Open Interval program supports trios of an artist, scientist and arts organisation to spend several months in open-ended collaboration around the theme of turbulence. Awarded trios receive USD 30,000. The 2027 program runs April to December and does not require a predetermined artwork or end product. Applications close 21 October 2026.

Eight-week U.S. residency placements in spring 2027 (April to early June) across six residency programs, for selected mid-career EU visual artists. Selected artists receive airfare and visa assistance, on-site lodging and studio space, access to host facilities and networks, a living stipend and a materials budget. The residency concludes with a public summit and exhibition in Washington, D.C. Applications are open until 30 October 2026 and capped at 300. Results expected in December.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens invites one South Florida artist to develop a site-specific work responding to the theme Holding Time. The residency runs May to November 2027 in a dedicated studio, with an exhibition from November 2027 to May 2028.

Cincinnati Art Museum seeks an artist or team to create an interactive installation in the Rosenthal Education Center gallery, on view 22 May to 7 November 2027 and inspired by the museum collection. The residency includes six monthly meet the artist drop-in sessions.

Amsterdam Light Festival and Amarte invite Netherlands-based makers who are new to light art to develop a work for walking visitors. Each selected maker receives a EUR 4,000 artist fee plus a EUR 20,000 production budget. Submissions close 7 December 2026 at 23:59 CET.

The Ramsay Art Prize 2027 is open to Australian artists under 40 working in any medium. The winning work is acquired into the Art Gallery of South Australia collection with a A$100,000 prize, selected from a finalist exhibition running 7 May to 15 August 2027.

Brisbane City Council’s Creative Register is an ongoing register for artists, performers, producers and vendors. Council uses it to notify registered creatives about future creative projects, events, grants, workshops, tenders and invitations to submit expressions of interest. The same Council arts page currently highlights its Outdoor Gallery program, including the AMPLIFY ME! exhibition, open 21 November 2025 to 25 October 2026, as an example of the kinds of public-facing arts activity Council runs. Registration does not guarantee work, but it is a direct route into future Council opportunity notifications.

Water Corporation’s Splash of Colour program maintains a pool of Western Australian artists for future murals on water and wastewater assets across the state. This is an ongoing artist-pool opportunity rather than a guaranteed commission: artists can register interest and may be considered when a project comes up in their area.

Kunstort Lehnin offers a one-month residency for professional artists of any discipline, with an apartment above the gallery, workshop access including woodworking and printmaking, and an honorarium of EUR 800 for the month. Sculpture and land art may remain in the on-site sculpture park. A contribution to transport of materials or works is not always possible.

The Artist Basic grant supports experienced visual artists to expand their body of work, visibility, research and experimentation. It is a fixed EUR 50,000 paid out over two to four years, and can be applied for at any time with roughly three months processing.

The Artist Start grant supports emerging visual artists to develop their practice and cultural entrepreneurship in the early years after starting out. It is a fixed EUR 24,900 for twelve months and can be applied for at any time.

The Pollock-Krasner Foundation gives unrestricted grants to established, exhibiting visual artists working in painting, sculpture and works on paper. Applications are accepted year round through an online form, with review taking nine to twelve months. The foundation does not publish a grant amount.

The Open Fund for Individuals supports research, development and delivery of creative projects of up to 24 months, including support for the artist's own time. Applications are open with no fixed deadline; decisions take ten weeks for requests up to GBP 20,000 and fourteen weeks above that.
