Transatlantic Rising Stars Project (Visual Arts)
Eight-week U.S. residency placements in spring 2027 (April to early June) across six residency programs, for selected mid-career EU visual artists. Selected artists receive airfare and visa assistance, on-site lodging and studio space, access to host facilities and networks, a living stipend and a materials budget. The residency concludes with a public summit and exhibition in Washington, D.C. Applications are open until 30 October 2026 and capped at 300. Results expected in December.

- Responses to narrative questions
Open to citizens of all 27 EU Member States with a valid passport, working in the visual arts sector with a demonstrated record of creative work. Citizens of EU candidate countries are not eligible. Requires confirmation of no criminal background, availability to travel to the U.S. from April to early June 2027, and English proficiency. All visual arts mediums with a strong physical presence are welcome (2D, 3D, 4D, multi-disciplinary); no film, music or writing. Applicants must meet at least four of five professional standing criteria.
