Huntington Theatre — East Wing Art Commission, Request for Qualifications
Request for Qualifications for a large-scale visual artwork for the new East Wing of the Huntington Theatre campus on Boston's Avenue of the Arts. The US$25,000 commission covers artist fee and fabrication; installation is covered by The Huntington and Flyleaf Creative. The wall space could be as large as 6ft by 14.5ft. Installation is planned for August/September 2027. Qualifications are due 7 October 2026. This is a Request for Qualifications, not a request for designs or proposals — concept drawings should not be submitted at this stage.

Open to mid-career and established artists with experience in conceptualising and fabricating public art. Submissions are evaluated anonymously by a jury of community stakeholders invited by the Huntington artistic staff.
