Louisville Downtown Partnership seeks an artist or artist-led design team to create a functional public art installation for an under-used downtown green space. The project budget is USD 70,000–75,000. Shortlisted finalists develop full proposals, with USD 1,000 stipends for finalists other than the selected artist/team.
- 1-page letter of interest
- Portfolio of 2–4 past projects demonstrating functional public art, outdoor durability or temporary installation experience
- Resume
- 2–3 references from public-art or municipal clients
Artists or artist-led design teams with relevant functional public-art, outdoor durability, placemaking or municipal project experience. Applicants closer to Louisville receive additional selection points.
